About Meg
New to Philly Moved to Philly from the NYC area in the summer of 2024
Mama & Partner My amazing husband & I have a 3 year old with a reputation for great hugs + better hair.
Third Generation Nurse My grandmom and mother (pictured above) were both nurses, and my grandmom even had her Bachelors degree - 1953!
Second career My first degree was in Gender Studies and I worked for 2 years as a feminist organizer for a non-profit in DC. I knew I wanted to be a nurse (or midwife) but I also wanted to have a strong background in policy + advocacy.
Big Fan I’m a pretty big sports fan — mostly basketball and women’s/college sports. I go hardest for VCU, NY Liberty and University of Tennessee.
Special Skills Really good at putting together IKEA furniture
Marathoner NYC + Chicago. Fun fact, I had the flu when I “ran” the NYC Marathon.
